Description
8×10″ abstract painting on canvas board, this is the third in a set of four. Their theme is domestic spaces and the stories they hold both physically and in the interior spaces of the mind.
Fun fact, four paintings together make a tetraptych or quadriptych, so when you put them together, you get a dinosaur.
No, you don’t, I’m sorry.
What you do get is a series of moods and states that a person can experience inside domestic spaces. The paintings have the feeling of going through the interior spaces of a person’s imagination.
Different rooms tell different stories, and the more active the imagination becomes, the richer the blues and golds and greens, the brighter the fleeting yellows and oranges. Or the more crowded and clashing…
I have more to say about this, so to be continued…
More importantly, what do you see or feel in these four small but richly coloured paintings?

The inspiration for my works like these came originally from Wassily Kandinsky.
